For those of you who missed our Eco Event at the Dallas Elliott’s Hardware store on Feb. 21, you also missed a great opportunity to meet a rather unusual guest and to take part in a bit of a media frenzy. George Bush, yes – the former president, decided to drop by for a visit. He was accompanied by a plethora of secret service agents, all who seemed to be enjoying our event and the huge selection of products offered by Elliott’s. Mr. Bush purchased just a bit over $160 in flashlights, batteries and other gadgets for his new Dallas home. He was most gracious and took time for unlimited photo ops with customers and employees alike. Here is a shot of me with Mr. Bush and my good friend and Elliott’s numbers man, Jerry Galloway.
